Street Art: SVA Honors Program Annual Lecture

The School of Visual Arts brings the spirit of street art inside [tonight], with a panel of New York City-based artists and observers for a conversation about the state of street art today, moderated by artist and SVA faculty member Amy Wilson, whose politically-charged work was at the center of the controversy surrounding the Drawing Center’s move to Ground Zero. The panelists will discuss the history of street art, how art and business have blurred on the city streets, and what recent mainstream attention means for the art form—is it a blessing or a curse? The panelists include: Marc and Sara Schiller, Wooster Collective; Thomas Beale, Honey Space; and ELBOW-TOE, street artist. More on the panelists below. All ages.

Date: Tuesday, October 28th
Time: 7:00pm
