I was asked to paint at the Nike World Tour: Lebron James 2009 event which was held yesterday at Pier 33 in lower Manhattan. The experience was exciting, slightly overwhelming, frustrating and great all at the same time. I loved every minute of it. This project went on from last Thursday to this past Saturday, with the event happening on Sunday. I was overseeing this portion of the space, which was the centerpiece of the facility and was extremely important. I stayed all kinds of hours, most days until 4 or 5 am, just to make sure this was the best it could be. I brought 2 friends and talented artists along for the ride, Bishop 203 and Beast Rock from Alphabeta BK. We had free range over what was painted but kept in mind that this was a city to city tour and NYC had to rep to the fullest. The exhaustion, blisters, sweat and paint fumes were worth it as the finished product was awesome. Nike and Lebron loved the work and so did the fans. Special Thank you to Robert,Carl and of course, Nike for having such a fresh event, it was awesome to work with you guys. Thank you to Bishop and Beast Rock for coming thru and making this whole project come together, you guys are super talented.

Coup D'etat BK x 101 Nine x Rimx Jen-one x Alexandra Cespedes Collabo wall

We're at it again! Coup D'etat brought us back out to Myrtle Ave in Brooklyn this past sunday to help beautify the neighborhood via spray paint and creative goodness. This time I had the pleasure of working with Rimx, Jen-one, Alexandra Cespedes and Livingroom Johnston. I sketched out some cool aerosol characters and wanted to do something bright and colorful. I think the wall came out fresh, we might be back again so be on the lookout. Thanks to Coup D'etat and Afropunk again!

New Blackbook piece: "Creative Weapons"

The latest installment..Creative Weapons
Part 3..
Part 2..
Part 1..
Creative Weapons is the latest installment in my unofficial art/transformer series started back in 2005.

The loose story line/ plot revolves around a man going thru experiments and tests to become a bio weapon for military use. After many trials it is unsuccessful and he is left neither man or robot and finds himself running from his former employers who now want to kill him to ensure he doesn't talk. He befriends a scientist/crazy man, who started the program he is now running from. The scientist uses new technology to finish what the gov't started, and to use this new being for good. You can probably guess the rest of the story. I've never actually writtin it out(idk how to write a story) or really told anyone about the story-line so there you go. Maybe I should start a comic? Hmm...

Coup D'etat BK x 101 Nine x Rimx Collabo wall

The Final Product
Charater By Rimx

Workin on it..

The original wallspace, ugly right?

This past Sunday myself along with Rimx, Coup D'etat and Afro Punk were at the Urban Arts Festival on Myrtle Ave and Emerson in Clinton Hills, Brooklyn. Plenty of people were in attendance as the sun was shining, live music was playing, food was cooked and kids ran all over. I had a great time and enjoyed turning this boring piece of construction wood into something alot better for the people of the neighborhood to look at. Shout to Coup D'etat Brooklyn and Afro Punk for linking up this dope project.

New Canvas: "Electric Serenity"

Very often it seems my work takes on a life of it's own and shapes itself into the final product. Sure I have alot to do with it, but in cases like this piece, Electric Serenity I didnt envision the piece to come out like this. I love the end result and the calm, flowing energy that seems to pass thru it despite the loud bright colors that make up the energy.
